I've had the exact same experience. I've been on Vocal a couple of months and haven't had much traction. Originally I branched out to see how I'd do on another platform. I wrote original pieces first and then did cross-post two of my articles from Medium. So far (weeks in), those don't have views at all. Medium is far better for sure!
